There are four projects under consideration right now that would permanently sequester CO2 under the Mahomet Aquifer. This is our chance to speak out on this issue!
Each of these projects need a permit from the US EPA called a Class VI Underground Injection well permit. As part of the permitting review process, the US EPA will hold a public hearing to solicit public comments on the permit. If we do not end up with a ban, this will be the best opportunity to challenge the proposed projects.
